A 25-Year-Old Man with Gambling Disorder During the Covid-19 Pandemic

Addiction is a social problem, and not an object that can be considered unique. Addiction is often seen as a chronic condition accompanied by a strong motivation to obtain a satisfactory outcome based on an unintentional harmful action. During the Covid-19 pandemic, several studies found that gambling disorders showed an increase, especially during and after Lockdown. This study assessed the relationship between the behavior of Gambling Disorder patients and the COVID-19 pandemic. A relationship was found between the Covid-19 pandemic as one of the triggers for gambling disorder behavior.

Abstrak
Adiksi adalah suatu masalah sosial, serta bukan suatu objek yang dapat dianggap unik. Adiksi sering kali dilihat sebagai kondisi kronis disertai dengan motivasi yang kuat untuk mendapatkan suatu hasil yang memuaskan berdasarkan suatu tindakan yang tidak sengaja dapat merugikan. Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 didapatkan beberapa penelitian bila gangguan perjudian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan, terutama ketika dan sesudah dilakukan Lockdown.penelitian ini menilai hubungan antara perilaku pasien Gambling Disorder (Gangguan Perjudian) dengan pandemi COVID-19. Didapatkan hubungan antara pandemi Covid-19 sebagai salah satu pencetus perilaku gangguan perjudian.
